I am so thrilled about Micah and Andrew’s Skyline Drive engagement photos! When Micah emailed me, I knew I would absolutely love working with her. I soon discovered that Andrew and I shared the same birth country, Romania. As if this was not already exciting enough, soon after their engagement session I found out that my husband, Tim, and I had actually known his family for years. It’s funny how life works that way!
Andrew and Micah are both UVA students. Andrew is in graduate school and on the wrestling team, and Micah is in the medical school. Since they are both View full post »
This was my first time taking engagement photos in Ashburn, Virginia and I am in love! Who knew that the 1757 Golf Club was such a great location for engagement pictures?! To say that I am excited for Alyssa and Chris’ wedding here next year would be an understatement!
We moved to Northern Virginia about half a year ago. The funny thing is that Alyssa, who lived here all her life, now lives in Lynchburg — the city we moved from. It’s funny how life works that way! Alyssa and Chris are both Liberty University students which is only minutes away from our old house in Lynchburg. View full post »
I am so excited to share these beautiful Manassas National Battlefield Park Engagement Photos on the blog today! Lorenzo and Catherine were so great to work with and I am so excited about their wedding next year!!
They met on an online dating site at the beginning of 2014. He is in the Navy and was on deployment overseas when they first started talking online. They maintained their online relationship for three months over chat and Skype and finally met when he arrived home in May 2014. Things have only gotten better from there. Lorenzo proposed at the end of May 2017 in the Bahamas, and the rest is history. View full post »
Mackenzie and Josh’s Morven Park engagement photos were everything I could have hoped for and more! They are such a sweet couple and working with them was an absolute blast. After days of pouring down rain, the sun came out for their session and we had the most beautiful evening at the Morven Park.
I want to back up just a bit to introduce you to their story as it is truly beautiful! Mackenzie and Josh met during freshman year of high school at a Friday night football game. They briefly talked, and started dating three weeks later. They dated throughout high school and college, although they attended different universities. Looking back, Mackenzie says that they would have never guessed they had met their future spouse at the age of fourteen! View full post »
I am so excited about these JMU engagement photos! Kendall and Nathan’s story is one of a kind. They became friends during their junior year of high school and started dating during their senior year. Afterwards, they both ended up going to James Madison University, where Kendall is currently completing her Grad School. When I asked Kendall to tell me how Nathan proposed, she said that he proposed in the best way! He had her go on a scavenger hunt through their home town that led her back to the football field of their high school where he got down on one knee and popped the question. It doesn’t get much better than that, friends!! View full post »
How adorable is Casey’s floral dress? It was perfect for her Sorella Farms engagement photos! I told her that I needed one in my closet asap!!
Casey and Brandon are the sweetest couple and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding in October. I photograph sessions and weddings at Sorella Farms quite often, and I promise that every new session somehow becomes a new favorite. On top of everything, I never run out of locations to shoot here because Sorella Farms is truly the most versatile wedding venue around. From the back yard feeling, to the lake and mountain views, this Virginia wedding venue has it all in one place and easily accessible. View full post »
I could shoot mountain view engagement photos for days! I never get tired of shooting with the mountains in the background! I am so excited that Adriane and Patrick chose Sierra Vista as their engagement session location.
We planned for a mid-afternoon session when the sun was still high in the sky, and let me just tell you: I’m a total fan! It’s no secret that I love me some gorgeous natural light for my sessions. I’ll take sunny over cloudy all day, every day! Before I continue on with how amazing their session was, I want to introduce you to this sweet couple.
Meet Adriane and Patrick! They are seriously such a dream couple to work with! To say that I am looking forward to their wedding at Glencliff Manor is a total understatement. View full post »
Am I the only one excited about spring engagement photos?! Spring is finally here, and so are the engagement sessions! My photographer heart is so full. I’ve been looking forward to warmer weather so I could start scheduling engagement sessions before the wedding season starts in full swing.
I met Anne Claire and Jon at Sorella Farms for an evening engagement session the other day. It was a gorgeous day with an even more gorgeous golden light. What I love about Sorella Farms is that, even though I shoot weddings and engagements there often, I always find new spots to photograph at and no two sessions look alike.
We started the session in this cute spot by the farmhouse where the light was so dreamy, then did an outfit change and went down to the pond. View full post »
I am seriously so excited to share these pictures from Karen and Hunter’s engagement session. I find myself shooting engagement photos with dogs all the time and they turn out to be some of my favorites. My sweet couple brought along their friend, Charlie, who did so well in front of the camera.
For their engagement pictures, we met at the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, which is one of my absolute favorite locations to photograph at all year around. There are so many beautiful spots, all in one location, that no two sessions look alike. The sessions look so different and unique.. ahh it’s just so beautiful. If you ever find yourself in Lynchburg, you have to visit this place. View full post »
Sierra Vista is one of my favorite wedding venues in Bedford, VA. When Hoa asked me to photograph her engagement session at Sierra Vista, I couldn’t have been more excited.
Although the weather had been pretty cold in the days leading up to the session, the day of the shoot was unbelievably warm, and the light was amazing too. Needless to say, the mountain background didn’t disappoint this time either. The Blue Ridge Mountains make the views at this outstanding wedding venue in Bedford to die for! View full post »
