When Lindsay contacted me about shooting her and Thomas’ engagement session in DC, I could hardly contain my excitement. Timothy and I decided to make a trip out of it and drove to Washington DC the day before. I was so excited to meet my sweet bride and her fiancé until I got an allergy reaction the night before their photoshoot (Oh nooo! Haha). And as if that was not enough, our GPS decided to get us lost on our way to Georgetown, where the shoot was going to take place. Good thing is that we left our hotel about 40 minutes early, as we always like to be early for our sessions to scout out the best locations and lighting, and we made it to our meeting point just in time. Shortly into our photo session, we started getting to know Lindsay and Thomas better, and chatted about their wedding plans. And let me just tell you — they totally rocked their engagement session! They are just one of those couples that every photographer dreams about working with, and I am SO incredibly honored to be shooting their wedding in July. Things don’t always go as planned, but it’s the end result that matters. If you are a photographer, I encourage you to make the best out of each situation, and you will see the results of your hard work in the long run.
That light!!! We seriously had the most gorgeous light during our engagement session. It must be a DC thing ;)
Georgetown has the prettiest doors I’ve ever seen… so pretty, so unique, so colorful!!!
Ahhh… isn’t that ring just GORGEOUS?! Thomas did such a great job. He’s definitely a keeper.
This fountain was one of my favorite locations and the highlight of our session. Thomas proposed to Lindsay just a few feet away from this spot.
