I can’t believe Christmas Day has come to an end already! Christmas is one of my favorite holidays of all time. There is just something “magical” about this time of the year! It’s like time stops in place for one day while we get to enjoy spending time with family.
Christmas at the Thomas’ is always a reason to be happy. We get to celebrate the birth of our Savior 3 times every year. Two days before Christmas the whole family gathers together at the grandparents’ house for fellowship and dessert… and boy, do I like grandma’s chocolate pie! On Christmas Day we read the Christmas Story and exchange gifts in the morning and then head out to the in-laws’ house for more fun and laughter (not until we have finished Skyping my family in Europe).
This Christmas was extra-special for us as it was the first time that we celebrated Christmas as a family of 3!!! Baby K. is the most precious gift of all and we are SO thankful for him! He will be 9 months tomorrow and man, did he grow up fast. It feels like we were just in the hospital the other day anxiously awaiting his arrival. Needless to say, he’s been spoiled this year. He’s gotten so many gifts that we seriously need to consider making more room in our home.
And the festivities continue tonight as we are joining the in-laws again for dinner and games. I am so thankful for my little family and all they mean to me. I am so looking forward to spending many more Christmas Days together with my precious baby and hubby!
