Photo Mechanic: How to Cut Your Culling Workflow In Half

Let me introduce you to Photo Mechanic!

Do you want to cut your workflow time in half… or even more?

Do you spend more time culling through your images from a session than actually editing the images?

If that is you, I’m here to help. That used to be me before I started using Photo Mechanic as part of my workflow.

I used to think that culling my photos in Lightroom was just fine until I realized how.much.time I spend culling through the thousands of pictures I take home from every wedding. You see, the thing with Lightroom is that you have to wait for each image to load before you can decide if it’s a keeper or not. And for me, that meant that I would spend almost a full day culling through the images in Lightroom. That first day after the wedding I wouldn’t even get to edit any of the images. Now, that’s a big NO if you ask me!

For the longest time I spent hours and hours culling through my photos. I just didn’t think I needed another piece of software in my life. That all changed once I decided to try Photo Mechanic’s free trial. I kept hearing a lot of photographers raving about Photo Mechanic and how it changed their lives, so I decided to give it a try. Needless to say, I was immediately hooked!

The biggest difference in Photo Mechanic is that there is literally no loading time. You can cycle through your images and view the RAW files while they are still importing. No loading needed. And this, friends, believe it or not, has saved me A LOT of time every time I culled through a wedding. I no longer dread the culling part!

This piece of software has been huge for me in my business and I wanted to share it with everyone that feels like they need to cut their workflow time in half.
