WHAT TO DO WHEN GUESTS RSVP WITH NO NAME

wedding guests rsvp with no nameIt’s been a while since I have written a post for my dear brides. The wedding season is in full swing right now and I get to blog a lot of beautiful weddings these days. However, I know that some of you ladies are still in the planning process for your big day and I wanted to share a quick tip with you that will come in handy when you mail out your wedding invitations.

We have 4 weddings in the Thomas family this year, and I’ve learned a lot about some of the things brides struggle with when it comes to planning their wedding. One of them is guests that mail their RSVP card without filling in their names. It’s not a big deal if you get one or two cards that are missing the guests’ names, but when you receive a couple dozen of those, it can become a headache. This is especially true if you have assigned seating at your reception. Trying to figure out who will attend your wedding, and who won’t be able to, will only add to the stress in the last weeks leading up to your big day.

Does that sound familiar?

Here’s what you can do to make sure you know exactly who will be attending your wedding. In a very discrete manner, write a small number on the back of each RSVP card and keep track of which guest got which numbered card. To make things even easier, when you put together your guest list, make sure you number it and then write the number each guest is on your list on the back of their RSVP card before you mail it to them. That way, when a card comes back with no name, just go back to your list to see which guest was sent that numbered card.

That’s it! Easy, right?!

If this is something that completely slipped your mind, you might consider numbering your RSVP cards before you mail them. It will save you a lot of time in the future!
