Laura and Stephen’s wedding at the Patrick Henry Ballroom in Roanoke, Virginia was absolutely gorgeous! Wait until you see the beautiful floral centerpieces and lovely wedding cake decorated with white and pink peonies.Ahhh! It was simply stunning! Their outdoor ceremony was held at Laura’s family’s private estate with amazing mountain views that will take your breath away! The bride and the bridesmaids enjoyed a quiet morning at the bride’s family’s farm. The groom and the groomsmen joined them later in the day, before the ceremony started. Laura and Stephen had a few quiet moments to themselves during their first look, followed by some portrait time before the ceremony. After the ceremony was over, the guests headed to the Patrick Henry Ballroom for the reception. The bride’s sister, the maid of honor, surprised the couple with a song she had written for her toast. The song was called “Hey Stephen” (adapted from Taylor Swift’s song) and got quite a few laughs from the guests. View full post »
MACKENZIE AND CHRIS
Chris and Mackenzie’s wedding day at Sorella Farms in Evington, Virginia was absolutely stunning from start to finish! These two didn’t let a little bit of rain in the forecast scare them and as a result, they were able to enjoy the most beautiful reception together with their friends and family. We started the day at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Lynchburg, Virginia where Mackenzie and the bridesmaids had their makeup and hair done. Chris and his groomsmen were getting ready three floors above the girls’ room. From Hampton Inn, the bridal party all left together for the church in a beautiful limo that waited for them right outside the hotel. The ceremony at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church was heartfelt and sweet and the bride and groom exited the ceremony with a lavender toss. View full post »
SORELLA FARMS: JORDAN+BRYANT
This weekend we were back at Sorella Farms to photograph Jordan and Bryant’s beautiful wedding! From the gorgeous florals by Fleur-De-Lis to Jordan’s stunning dress by Celebration Bridal, we’re simply in love with this amazing Sorella Farms wedding! After weeks of rain in the Lynchburg area, the sun shined the entire day for this wedding. We could not have asked for better weather! Just wait until you see the gorgeous light in these bride and groom photos. I’m telling you, that light was out of this world!
Yet again, we were fortunate enough to work with an amazing team of local vendors that made the wedding run smoothly. I love meeting new vendors and I have to give a big shout out to the amazing DeVries Productions who were a dream to work with! View full post »
This Saturday we had the privilege of photographing Maggie and Sam’s wedding at the Bedford Columns! Located in Bedford, Virginia, The Bedford Columns is one of the most
exquisite wedding venues around. As you scroll through the photos below, you’ll see what I mean!
Maggie and Sam are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. Believe it or not, these two were born on the same day and year, only hours apart. To make things extra special, Sam proposed to Maggie on their birthday.
Their wedding day could not have been any more perfect! From the little details, to the gorgeous mansion that served as their wedding venue, everything was flawless. On a side note, I may or may not have fallen in love with Maggie’s bridal shoes!!! I sure need to get me a pair! View full post »
Natasha and Scott’s wedding at the Trivium in Forest, VA was absolutely beautiful! The couple lives in Hawaii but had a destination wedding in Virginia and I was beyond honored to photograph these special moments in their lives. Every little detail was impeccable! From the gorgeous wedding dress and shoes, to the amazing cascading bouquet that Natasha’s mom made, everything was breathtaking.
One of my favorite things to witness was the lei exchange during the ceremony. It was the perfect way for Natasha and Scott to express their love for each other Hawaiian style. To give someone a lei symbolizes the love, respect, and affection one has for the person they are gifting the lei to. How beautiful is that?! View full post »
After photographing Danni and Rory’s wedding at Glencliff Manor the weekend before, I was back at this gorgeous venue the following Saturday to document Amy and Nathan’s wedding. From the moment I met these two I knew there was something special about their relationship! From their engagement session at the Old City Cemetery, to their beautiful wedding at Glencliff Manor in Rustburg, Virginia, everything was perfect.
When I arrived at the venue and saw Amy’s dress, as well as all the pretty little details she has put so much thought into, my jaw dropped. I mean… that wedding dress was flawless!! SOOO pretty! I could photograph it for days. After I photographed the dress, Amy handed me all the other details: her shoes, wedding rings, invitation, etc. The rings were placed on an antique Bible which belonged to Nathan’s grandfather. I absolutely adored that idea! View full post »
Big congrats to this amazing couple who got married at the beautiful Glencliff Manor in Rustburg, Virginia. Their wedding day was filled with lots of joy and laughter! Danni and Rory were surrounded by family and friends as they said their “I DOs” in a beautiful outdoor ceremony setting! Just wait until you see the ceremony decor… they had spanish moss hanging from the trees and the most beautiful light shinning through the woods. It goes without saying that their outdoor ceremony was one of a kind! To be completely honest, Glencliff Manor is a one of a kind venue all together. If you don’t believe me, see for yourself. Here is an interview I did with the amazing owner, Teresa, a while back. If you are looking for an all-inclusive wedding experience, Glencliff Manor in Rustburg, VA is the venue for you!
Dani and Rory, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your big day! You had the most beautiful wedding and your joy is simply contagious! I wish you all a life full of happiness for many years to come! View full post »
I am so excited to finally be able to share Sarah’s bridal portraits at the Historic Avenel in Bedford, Virginia! It goes without saying that I love me some gorgeous bridal portraits, and bridal sessions are my favorite. The only tricky thing about them is that I can’t post them right away! And I want the whole world to see them because my brides are absolutely gorgeous!
Now that Sarah and Josh have tied the knot, I cannot wait to show them to you all! They got married at Sorella Farms in Evington, Virginia last Friday and their wedding was absolutely amazing! Make sure to check out their wedding post if you haven’t already, you won’t regret it! View full post »
This weekend we photographed wedding number two out of the five weddings we haveon the books at Sorella Farms this wedding season. It’s always such a joy to go back and see our Sorella family, the beautiful venue and landscapes… and not to mention that my Sorella Farms brides are really special to me!
Stephanie and Josh’s wedding day started off with a little bit of rain, and although it was drizzling during the ceremony, they had the most beautiful outdoor ceremony together with their family and friends.

To say that Sorella Farms is one of my all time favorite wedding venues to photograph at would be an understatement! From the rustic reception barn, to the beautiful outdoor ceremony sites and blue pond, Sorella Farms offers a wide variety of locations for wedding photos.
Although the forecast called for rain on Friday, Sarah and Josh’s wedding day was nothing short of perfect! What I loved the most about this wedding was the attention to detail Sarah put into planning her big day. Every little thing was part of a bigger story. Sarah wore the pearl earrings that Josh gave her for their first Valentine’s day, and a bracelet that he had made for her for their second Valentine’s day together. I mean, how sweet is that?!
