bride and groom nuzzling in front of a pink fenceKelly and Perry’s coral reef and malibu blue wedding was simply amazing, to say the least! I mean, they had me at coral reef and malibu blue. I just love it when brides decide to do something fun and add a pop of color to their big day!

On the morning of the wedding, Kelly and I ran into each other at breakfast. Without knowing it, we had spent the night at the same hotel. If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember that I posted about being evacuated from our hotel room about a week ago. It all happened the night before Kelly and Perry’s wedding! Around 1:20 a.m. that morning the fire alarm at the hotel went off. Everybody gathered in front of the hotel until we were allowed to go back to our rooms. Thankfully, it was a false alarm. There was no fire and no one was harmed. View full post »

bride wearing dress from celebration bridalLet me start off by saying that this is not your average white barn wedding! The Old Mill Farm in Bedford, Virginia certainly outdid themselves with this gorgeous wedding. The venue has an amazing modern white barn to host every reception. It’s truly every photographer’s dream! To be honest, I’ve been looking forward to Lauren and Erik’s wedding day ever since I took their engagement photos at the Old Mill Farm.

Erik and Lauren met back in 2012 while they were both working at a summer soccer camp in Erik’s hometown of Radford, Virginia. After spotting each other on the second day of camp, Erik and Lauren spent the next few days learning more about each other. Throughout the week, Erik asked Lauren out a total of three times, but had no luck. View full post »

bride and groom walking at their garden weddingHunter and Karen had a gorgeous garden wedding reception and ceremony at Glencliff Manor! I had been looking forward to their wedding for the past few months because, after photographing their engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to be absolutely amazing. And it truly was a special celebration! Their family and friends all gathered together at the beautiful Glencliff Manor in Rustburg to celebrate Hunter and Karen’s big day.

What I love the most about Glencliff Manor is that it is the perfect venue for an intimate garden wedding reception. The english moss and the outdoor lights hanging from the trees make this Virginia wedding venue a dream location for brides who love outdoor weddings. Just take a look at this gorgeous ceremony site below and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about! View full post »

Wait until you see the beautiful floral centerpieces and lovely wedding cake decorated with white and pink peonies.bride and groom photo as husband and wifeAhhh! It was simply stunning! Their outdoor ceremony was held at Laura’s family’s private estate with amazing mountain views that will take your breath away! The bride and the bridesmaids enjoyed a quiet morning at the bride’s family’s farm. The groom and the groomsmen joined them later in the day, before the ceremony started. Laura and Stephen had a few quiet moments to themselves during their first look, followed by some portrait time before the ceremony. After the ceremony was over, the guests headed to the Patrick Henry Ballroom for the reception. The bride’s sister, the maid of honor, surprised the couple with a song she had written for her toast. The song was called “Hey Stephen” (adapted from Taylor Swift’s song) and got quite a few laughs from the guests. View full post »

MACKENZIE AND CHRIS

Chris and Mackenzie’s wedding day at Sorella Farms in Evington, Virginia was absolutely stunninsunset photos at Sorella Farms of married coupleg from start to finish! These two didn’t let a little bit of rain in the forecast scare them and as a result, they were able to enjoy the most beautiful reception together with their friends and family. We started the day at the Hampton Inn Hotel in Lynchburg, Virginia where Mackenzie and the bridesmaids had their makeup and hair done. Chris and his groomsmen were getting ready three floors above the girls’ room. From Hampton Inn, the bridal party all left together for the church in a beautiful limo that waited for them right outside the hotel. The ceremony at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church was heartfelt and sweet and the bride and groom exited the ceremony with a lavender toss. View full post »

This Saturday we had the privilege of photographing Maggie and Sam’s wedding at the Bedford Columns! Located in Bedford, Virginia, The Bedford Columns is one of the mostbride and groom smiling bedford columns
exquisite wedding venues around. As you scroll through the photos below, you’ll see what I mean!

Maggie and Sam are one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. Believe it or not, these two were born on the same day and year, only hours apart. To make things extra special, Sam proposed to Maggie on their birthday.

Their wedding day could not have been any more perfect! From the little details, to the gorgeous mansion that served as their wedding venue, everything was flawless. On a side note, I may or may not have fallen in love with Maggie’s bridal shoes!!! I sure need to get me a pair! View full post »

Natasha and Scott’s wedding at the Trivium in Forest, VA was absolutely beautiful! The couple lives in Hawaii but had a destination wedding in Virginia anbridal portraitsd I was beyond honored to photograph these special moments in their lives. Every little detail was impeccable! From the gorgeous wedding dress and shoes, to the amazing cascading bouquet that Natasha’s mom made, everything was breathtaking.

One of my favorite things to witness was the lei exchange during the ceremony. It was the perfect way for Natasha and Scott to express their love for each other Hawaiian style. To give someone a lei symbolizes the love, respect, and affection one has for the person they are gifting the lei to. How beautiful is that?! View full post »
