When Kelly told me that she wanted to have her engagement photos taken at Sierra Vista in Bedford, VA I knew it was going to be amazing! Sierra Vista has one of the most spectacular mountain views I have ever seen, and the sunsets are simply breathtaking.
Kelly and Perry are such an awesome couple to work with and, after meeting them for their engagement pictures, I cannot wait to photograph their wedding at the beautiful Glencliff Manor next year! Their happiness is simply contagious. I loved the way they looked at each other the entire session. Their love for each other is one of a kind, so unique and beautiful to witness. Have I already told you how excited I am for their wedding next October?! It’s going to be amazing! View full post »
It’s no surprise that the Old City Cemetery is one of my favorite locations for engagement pictures in Lynchburg. I absolutely LOVE shooting at the Old City Cemetery this time of the year when everything around is blooming and the nature is in its full glory with colorful flowers everywhere. Needless to say, my engagement session with this sweet couple could not have gone any better!
Without further ado, I want you all to meet Amy and Nathan, one of the most adorable and in love couples I’ve had the privilege to work with! View full post »
SIERRA VISTA STYLED SESSION
Looking through some of my older sessions, I realized that I never actually shared this gorgeous fall styled shoot at Sierra Vista in Bedford, Virginia on the blog before. I had the privilege of participating in this amazing styled photo session as part of my friend’s (Megan of Megan Vaughan Photography) workshop at Sierra Vista last fall. This session came to life through the efforts of so many talented creatives that came together to make it possible. If you want to read more about the creative team and find out my thoughts about the workshop, you can do so by reading my workshop review. Although this is a styled session, I believe that it can serve as inspiration to all the beautiful brides out there that are planning their engagement session. View full post »
We ended this year’s engagement season with Stephanie and Josh’s engagement session at Sorella Farms in Evington, Virginia. Sorella Farms impressed us once again with its beautiful landscape and gorgeous light. This sunset engagement session couldn’t have been any more perfect! I absolutely loved every second of it! If you haven’t heard of Sorella Farms before, it is a gorgeous wedding venue featuring a rustic reception barn and beautiful landscape for outdoor ceremonies. View full post »
I had the privilege of photographing Sarah and Josh’s engagement session at the Point of Honor in Lynchburg, Virginia this past week and it was absolutely beautiful. Fall engagement photos are my favorite to take: from gorgeous light, to beautiful fall colors and two people in love, it doesn’t get any better than that. When Sarah emailed me about having their engagement pictures taken at the Point of Honor I was extremely excited to photograph at a new location. Point of Honor in Lynchburg, VA really made their engagement photos look unique. The photo opportunities at The Point of Honor are endless. View full post »
LAURA+STEPHEN, ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
For the second half of Laura and Stephen’s engagement photos, we drove from the Jefferson Vineyard to the Carter’s Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville, Virginia. If you missed the first half, you can check their engagement photos at the Jefferson’s Vineyard by clicking here. The Carter’s Mountain Orchard was also the place where they went to on their first date! I mean, what a perfect location for their engagement pictures. We got to the Carter’s Mountain Orchard just a few minutes before the sun set, and the light was absolutely gorgeous. View full post »
On Saturday, Timothy and I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia to photograph Laura and Stephen’s engagement session at the Jefferson Vineyards. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for their engagement photos: beautiful weather, a gorgeous couple in love, and on top of everything, Jefferson Vineyards was hosting a concert that day as well. I loved spending the evening with Laura and Stephen and learning more about their story. And let me just tell you, if their wedding day goes as smoothly as their engagement session did, we’re going to get their bridal portraits done in no time! We spent the first half of their session at View full post »
When the engagement session involves a red airplane and a private airport in Lynchburg, you bet I am all in! When Ariana talked to me about doing an airplane engagement session, I was ecstatic. Her and Jeff are both aviation students and an airplane engagement session seemed only fitting for their engagement photos. After rescheduling Ariana and Jeff’s engagement session multiple times due to the rain, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset Lynchburg had to offer, which made my photographer heart oh-so-happy! Ariana and Jeff are getting married at the beautiful Glencliff Manor in Rustburg, Virginia in less than a month. Their wedding is going to be fabulous! View full post »
This Old City Cemetery engagement session is going to take your breath away! James and Maria were so great to work with. I am so happy that the rain held off for their engagement photos since they live over 3 hours away from Lynchburg. They drove down to the Lynchburg area when there were still 50% chances of rain during their engagement session. If you are local to Lynchburg, VA you already know that the past week has been a whirlwind. We’ve had so much rain lately that we are all probably wishing summer was still here. When we arrived at the Old City Cemetery, View full post »
Lynchburg seriously has the best locations for engagement sessions! From tall grass, to mountain views, to ponds and urban architecture, Lynchburg has it all. Therefore, each of my couples’ engagement photos look completely different. For Harris and David’s engagement pictures we traveled to Harris’ parents’ private property in Lynchburg, VA. They came to Lynchburg to celebrate their engagement party with their family and friends. What better way to celebrate their engagement than with a photoshoot? David proposed to Harris in View full post »
