engagement photos randolph collegeAlright, friends… where do I even start?! These two right here are simply put, an amazing couple. We had so much fun during their Randolph College engagement session in Lynchburg, VA that my cheeks literally hurt from so much laughing! Randolph College is my new favorite place to photograph at. There are so many photo opportunities, all in one location. From the natural outdoor look, to the urban feel of the buildings, Randolph College was the perfect location for this sweet couple’s engagement session. View full post »

sorella farms engagement photosAs many of you might already know, Sorella Farms is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues to shoot at in Virginia. There are just so many photo opportunities at Sorella Farms, all in one location. When Jordan asked me about doing a sunrise engagement session, I was beyond excited. I knew
that Sorella Farms was beautiful at sunset, but little did I know how gorgeous it was at sunrise. We arrived early for the session, and I mean… eeearly! We wanted to make sure we got to see the very first rays of light over the beautiful Sorella Farms barn. I couldn’t be any more proud of Jordan and Bryant who were brave enough to fight the chilly morning and do a phenomenal job during their engagement session. These two were such naturals! After taking their engagement photos, I cannot wait for their wedding! It’s going to be simply amazing… and how could it not when they have chosen the stunning Sorella Farms as their wedding venue?! engagement photos with dogsDowntown Lynchburg is one of my favorite places to photograph in Virginia. While I don’t find myself there very often, I am always happy to meet my couples downtown for their engagement sessions. Mackenzie told me that she wanted more of an urban, industrial look for her engagement pictures which made my heart happy as it made me remember my home town back in Romania. Chris and Mackenzie’s downtown Lynchburg engagement session was filled with much laughter and a lot of fun. They even had a special guest, View full post »

sierra vista engagement session

I am beyond excited to share this engagement session with you all for two reasons: I had the opportunity to photograph at Sierra Vista, one of the most gorgeous barn wedding venues in Virginia, and work with an amazing couple whose love story is very similar to ours. I’ve shot at Sierra Vista in Bedford many times before, but for the first time ever, I will be photographing Mindy and Derek’s wedding in July and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s going to be a great one, guys! View full post »

sweet momentWe are back home from our two week trip to Romania, and I couldn’t be happier to share these dreamy engagement pictures with you all. While in Europe, we had the opportunity to work with this amazing couple and photograph their engagement session. Delia-Dolores and I had planned this photo-shoot weeks before we left for Romania and put together the last-minute details after we arrived there. For their engagement pictures, Delia-Dolores and Cipri wanted something simple, yet classy so we decided that downtown Oradea would be the perfect location to take their engagement photos. bedford engagement photos

We conquered another snow day yesterday, and rocked the cold weather with Emily and Ian at Sierra Vista! It was so incredibly cold, but so incredibly worth it.  Sierra Vista is the only wedding venue in Virginia, that I know of, that has such an impressive mountain view. I shot there last fall and I was dying to shoot there again this winter. We got some snow around here this week, so I asked Sierra Vista if we could take some photos there. Everything was so last minute, but it all fell into place perfectly. With just a couple of hours to go before sunset, we cancelled our plans for the day, found a fabulous couple to photograph, made it to Sierra Vista, and had one of the coolest (literally) sessions to date. Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA was the perfect location for this February engagement session. Although the weather is pretty unpredictable here in Virginia, we seriously could not have asked for it to have been any better for Amanda and Ben’s photo session. We haven’t had this kind of gorgeous natural light since last summer, and I am so excited to kick off this year’s engagement season in such a fabulous way. Amanda and Ben brought along their puppy, Theo, for the session. Theo is only 8 months old and behaved extremely well. View full post »

engagement-160Meeting Addison and Chad for the first time was like meeting some good old friends. We connected instantly! We started talking… and we talked… and talked… it almost seemed like we’ve known one another for years.  I am so happy they chose us to capture their beautiful wedding in May, and I could’t be happier to photograph the biggest day in this amazing bride’s life. Their engagement session in Bedford, Virginia was styled with beautiful vintage props by Amy from I Do Events. The light was just gorgeous on that beautiful fall day, and the orange tones in the trees were just breath-taking. Ahh, Bedford, I will be back for some more amazing pictures in the near future. I kid you not, when I say that View full post »

sunset engagement photos at sorella The first time I met Sallie I knew she was the type of bride I would LOVE to work with, even more so when I found out the venue she had chosen for her wedding. Sorella Farms is just one of those wedding venues in Central Virginia that take your breath away… rustic barn with a modern touch, and those chandeliers inside – ahhh-mazing! I’m telling you guys, if you haven’t visited Sorella Farms before, you just have to! Sallie and Chris live in Florida (can I say jealous?) and came home to be with family over Thanksgiving. engagement pictures in georgetown washington dc

When Lindsay contacted me about shooting her and Thomas’ engagement session in DC, I could hardly contain my excitement. Timothy and I decided to make a trip out of it and drove to Washington DC the day before. I was so excited to meet my sweet bride and her fiancé until I got an allergy reaction the night before their photoshoot (Oh nooo! Haha). And as if that was not enough, our GPS decided to get us lost on our way to Georgetown, where the shoot was going to take place. Good thing is that we left our hotel about 40 minutes early, as we always like to be early for our sessions to View full post »
