How and when did you start Love Is In The Air?
Love Is In The Air is a partnership between Linda Loveleen Williams Hall and Mary Beth Love started in 2010 following a wedding Linda did for her niece. It was her first wedding and she knew she needed help to pull it off. The wedding was planned and RSVP’s were returned for a little over 225 guests. Linda enlisted Mary’s help because she knew her and knew that she had experience with events. After spending several days decorating 1727 Moose Lodge the wedding day arrived with 10” of snow on the ground and snow continuing to fall. But the wedding was held despite the weather. The theme of the wedding was “Winter Wonderland”. We just did not realize that the theme would extend outside the wedding and reception. We found out while working on this wedding that we were in perfect tune with one another and decided to start a business together.
What is your favorite thing about running the business?
While we provide lots of different services for every kind of event, we specialize in weddings. Our favorite thing is making a girl’s dream come true.
What services do you provide?
We provide planning, décor, flowers, cakes, catering and calligraphy.
If you could give one piece of advice to a couple getting married, what would it be?
Enjoy the process. Be mindful of your budget and realize that at the end of the day you will be husband and wife and that is the most important part – what happens after the wedding.
What makes you stand out from the competition?
The fact that we provide many services and we actually provide all those services ourselves. We are able to coordinate everything and you only need to make one phone call to take care of the details.
Do you see any trends going on right now for weddings?
We are seeing more theme weddings now, and it’s so fun to incorporate personal touches, so that when their guests walk into the reception they are thinking “this is so THEM.”
What is your favorite memory since starting Love Is In The Air?
It has to be that first wedding. It kick-started our business! But every wedding has been special in its own way. We have so many brides that we continue to be friends with and follow them as they start their families. It is something that truly nourishes our souls.
Do you recommend brides to include their fiancés in the planning process?
We love for the fiancés to take part in the planning. Sometimes the grooms are really passive – they just want the bride to be happy. Other times the groom really gets into the planning and it is fun to have the grooms participate. It is a good opportunity for them to work together. After all, it is the groom’s wedding too!
Do you have a favorite color/theme for weddings?
We both do! Linda’s favorite is the soft, romantic theme and Mary’s favorite is one with vibrant colors. Thank goodness they are all different and we have the opportunity to create something especially for each couple, so that it never gets boring.
Why do you think a couple should choose you for their wedding services?
We think that a couple should choose us because of our work ethic, our desire to give them more than they ever thought possible, and the high standards we have consistently shown. We encourage them to think outside the box and allow us to create something very unique and special for them.
