HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

sierra vista bedford vaHappy Thanksgiving friends, both old and new! I can’t believe it’s that time of the year yet again. There are so many things that we need to be thankful for, and one thing I love about this holiday is that it makes us stop for a second and count our blessings. I have so many things to be thankful for! Timothy and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday (WooHoo!), we are all healthy, we have an amazing almost 2 year old son, we just moved into our new house, and the list could go on and on. But I just wanted to take a second to thank all of my amazing clients for trusting me with one of the most important days in their lives this year. I had the opportunity to photograph so many precious moments this year, and I just want you all to know that I am so very grateful for you! My journey as a Lynchburg wedding photographer wouldn’t be possible without you. View full post »

We just got back from Wintergreen last night and I already finished blogging an engagement session, caught up on all the emails, scheduled consultations for this week, fully cleaned our house, and now I am just sitting here wishing this past weekend hadn’t ended. It felt so good to be away from all the distractions of life for a couple of days… just me and my sweet family in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you are not familiar with the Wintergreen Resort, it is a ski resort here in Central Virginia. And the best part about it, it’s just a little over an hour away from home. Once you get up there though, it feels like you are thousands of miles away from everything, so quiet and peaceful. It really helped slipping away for a few days to relax and enjoy the nature. Timothy, Kenneth and I had a blast.  View full post »

Writing this post is a little bitter-sweet. We’ve been so busy for the past few weeks (more on that later) that I didn’t physically have time to share all the exciting (and less exciting) things that have been happening recently. At the beginning of this month we had to say good-bye to the one thing we called “ours” for over two years. It was hard to let go but we decided that it was the right decision for us. I can hardly believe Kenneth is ONE already! It feels like it was yesterday that I first held him in my arms. He was born three weeks early so we had 3 extra weeks to spend with him and love on him. This little man was 4.6 pounds when he was born, and now I can barely hold him in my arms because he is so heavy. He is the joy of our lives and could not imagine life without him! View full post »

We have recently returned from our annual missions trip to Romania and I miss it already. Romania was my first home, the land I was born and grew up in. Romania is where I met my handsome husband! Going back for 2 weeks every year is a great experience. I get to see my family, friends and do missions work in the villages around Oradea.

This year was different. We had a new member added to our team, View full post »

I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I married my best friend! Three years of sheer happiness, laughter, and joy. Where did time fly? It’s hard to believe that in just 10 days we are celebrating baby K’s first birthday (stay tuned for the blog post following his birthday party). For the past 3 years, I’ve been blessed beyond measure with an amazing husband and father to our almost one year old baby boy. He is the most loving, caring and selfless person I’ve ever met.

We had a beautiful destination wedding in Romania, Europe. For that reason, destination weddings will forever be a big part of my heart! Although our day was nothing short of perfect, I do have one regret: View full post »

It’s SO good to be back home! We are currently on a missions trip in Romania, and for those of you who don’t know, I was born and raised here. While I lived in the city most of my life, I did not experience village life very often. Of course I had the occasional visits to the countryside to visit my grandparents, but never actually got around those really poor sides of the country. It wasn’t until after I met my in-laws that I got to experience missions work and get more involved in doing ministry in gypsy villages. View full post »

I am completing my second month of the 365 photo project. Where has the time gone? I cannot believe that for over 50 days now, I have been taking a picture a day… and I’ve done it consistently. I gotta tell you, it has not been easy, but consistency is the key.

If  you are thinking about documenting your everyday, starting a View full post »

Happy (Almost) Valentine’s Day, friends! At the Thomas’ house, we celebrate Valentine’s Day all throughout the year. We don’t usually make any kind of sophisticated plans for February 14th, but we do like to celebrate the holiday in our own way. For the past 3 years, we’ve enjoyed a nice, romantic, candle light dinner at home (hubby is usually the chef on such special occasion), while trying to avoid the restaurant crowds in the city. We like it this way and wouldn’t change it for anything!

This year is different though, it is the first year that we celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family of 3! Our precious K, who is 10 months now,  is such a blessing to our family and we can’t wait to see how this year will play out. While trying to come up with cute Valentine’s Day ideas, we decided to do a fun photo session of K and mommy, to celebrate his first Valentine’s Day. After all, I am the one who loved him first! Enjoy his first Valentine’s Day pictures!

project 365I can’t believe it’s February already! Where did the time go?! If you’ve been following the blog, you might remember that at the beginning of this year I decided to embark on a new project, the 365 project. This is a photography project where you take a picture a day for 365 days, and it can be so rewarding in so many ways. Here are some of the reasons why, although busy with my little one, I decided to add another little project on my to-do list: View full post »
