I took these Cedar Oaks engagement photos for Jack and Becca earlier this week and let me just tell you, these two are the sweetest couple! I’ve known Jack’s family for years, and after photographing his sister’s wedding in 2015, I secretly hoped I’d get to do it all over again when he got married. So, when Jack reached out about being their wedding photographer, I was so excited! At the engagement session they even told me that they wanted to work with me first, and everyone else second… cue the tears!! 😭
When I asked them what their vision for their wedding was, they said:
I’m so excited at the thought of having literally every important person in my life together to celebrate us on our wedding day. I’m picturing this beautiful day in August where nothing else matters other than enjoying that day to its fullest. I think about my groomsmen and how each one of them has meant so much to me over many years. I think about my dad, who will be my best man, and how he’s set such an example for me to follow. I’m excited for our ceremony and reception, and to enjoy such a special night with the people we love. The music, the toasts, the dancing. Becca will tell you I love my birthday because I love to feel celebrated and appreciated and this feels like the peak of being loved and celebrated. I’m excited for us to share that together. And I’m excited for the life we’ll have together moving forward. (Jack)
When I picture our wedding, I envision all of our closest family and friends coming in and surrounding us with love and support! Since I’m from New York, my whole family has never been here at the same time, and I’m so excited for all the people that mean the world to us to come celebrate the biggest day of our lives with us! I can’t wait to see Jack when I’m walking down the aisle, and finally get to him and officially be husband and wife! (Becca)
