This beautiful cherry blossom elopement in Washington D.C. is literally a dream come true! After we moved to Northern Virginia last year and went to the cherry blossom festival in April, it was on my bucket list to do a session there the next season. Crystal and I have been planning this for a few months now and I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out! When I photographed their engagement session back in October, I knew right away that I would love working with Crystal and Mason again this spring.
Due to the prolonged cold weather this year, we had to reschedule our session a couple of times. That was totally fine since we really wanted the cherry blossoms to be in peak bloom. And let me tell you… they did not disappoint!! They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
We started out with them wearing their wedding attire (the people’s reactions when they saw them walking across the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C. were pricess) after which they changed into their second outfit. Crystal wore a gorgeous floral dress that I absolutely adored!! Without further adieu, here are Crystal and Mason’s cherry blossom elopement photos!
I mean.. how gorgeous are they?! Such a fun couple to photograph!!
Crystal and Mason were such troopers! It was low 40s outside and they never once complained about the cold.
I’m dying over how gorgeous this next shot is! Their love for each other is simply contagious. Crystal and Mason are fun, relaxed, and know how to have a great time.
How beautiful is Crystal’s floral dress? My jaw dropped when I saw her in it. It’s so, so pretty!!
If you’re planning to do a session with the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. I highly suggest you go out on a week day. We met on a Monday for Crystal and Mason’s Cherry Blossom Elopement and there were hardly any people there that day!
