Are you a fan of DIY projects, or just want to create something a little extra special for your bridesmaids? If so, this blog post is perfect for you! I believe that taking the time to create something unique for your bridesmaids is a great way of showing them how much you appreciate their friendship. Here is a cute and creative way to ask your dear ones to be in your wedding!
What you are going to need:
→ a wood box (I got mine from Michaels)
→ acrylic paint (any craft store, I used Michaels)
I used a light coat of white to paint the outside of the box. I didn’t want to get rid of the natural wood aura, but rather keep the natural look. Also, I used a pale pink to paint the inside lid (you can experiment with your wedding colors). After it dried, I free-handed the “be my bridesmaid?” message (you can use calligraphic adhesive letters to make yours look more stylish).
Now, here comes the fill-in-the-box part. This is where the fun begins! You can get as creative as you want… insert small gifts or lay out the details about the wedding. I decided to insert a little notepad in my box with all the important dates for the girls to remember (bridal shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, wedding day, etc.) and a sweet note for them to read. I also placed paint swatches to show the color scheme I had envisioned for “my wedding” and a few treats for the ladies: a pearl necklace to wear on the big day and a lipstick that matched the color theme.
This is such a fun way to ask your favorite girls to be part of your wedding! I hope this served as inspiration to you as you are planning your big day!
