I’ve been looking forward to sharing these East Lynn Farm wedding photos for a very long time! Micki and David booked me as their photographer back in 2019, so it’s been a long time coming. After rescheduling their wedding not once, but twice, they finally got to celebrate with their family and friends this past weekend at the beautiful East Lynn Farm in Round Hill, VA.
Not only did they have the best wedding day, but they have a sweet proposal story as well. Here’s how David proposed!
We go to an oyster festival in Chincoteague, VA every October. We camp for the whole thing. On Friday nights (the night before the festival), we always go to the beach to relax together and get some alone time.
So, we did what we always do, and headed to the beach on Friday, October 5th at around 7 pm. We put out a blanket, laid down, and talked for awhile. I told him I was going to marry him one day whether he liked it or not. He then got up on one knee and said: “Why not now?” And that is when he pulled out the ring. My sisters had been hiding behind a sand dune the whole time taking pictures. That night we celebrated and the next morning all of my girlfriends arrived and went to the festival with us.
I absolutely LOVE how David took that opportunity to ask Micki to marry him. Two years later, I got to finally take their East Lynn Farm wedding photos!
When I asked her why she decided to book ATP for her wedding, Micki said: “I chose you because the pictures I saw in your gallery were beautiful. I love how light, whimsical and romantic your style is. David is not a fan of picture taking but I know he will love the pictures too.”
