House Mountain Inn is such a gorgeous venue! I love photographing weddings here every time I get a chance. With House Mountain Inn and Irvine Estate, you get two beautiful destinations in one location. Did you know they have two venues on the same property? It’s amazing!!
I recently had the opportunity to photograph another beautiful House Mountain Inn wedding, and this one was extra special. It was a small, intimate wedding with only about 50 guests. I absolutely love smaller weddings because everything feels more relaxed.
Jacob and Melissa looked absolutely stunning and everyone kept calling them Barbie and Ken throughout the day. And how could they not? They looked like they stepped straight out of a movie.
But beyond how absolutely STUNNING they looked, I loved how much they cared about pictures. More often than not, couples don’t really care to take photos after the ceremony or to sneak away for a few minutes to take sunset photos. Not Jacob and Melissa! They gave me every opportunity I asked for to take more pictures. And they turned out absolutely amazing! I was telling a photographer friend of mine that I don’t think I have ever delivered so many bride and groom photos at a wedding in over a decade of photographing weddings. It was a blast!
Photographing weddings at House Mountain Inn never gets old! The views are incredible and the landscaping is impeccable. Wait until you see the hydrangea photos with Jacob and Melissa!
The couple planned a first look before the ceremony, which gave us plenty of time for portraits. I always love having extra portrait time with my couples! The wedding day can go by SO fast, so having a few quiet moments together before the guests arrive gives you a chance to slow down and really enjoy it.
The ceremony was outside on the covered patio at Irvine Estate. And what a treat it was to have the Virginia mountains all around us in the background!
This House Mountain Inn wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing weddings here. The views are gorgeous, it’s very peaceful, and there are so many unique places to take photos.
