As a photographer, your wedding season is probably slowly coming to an end and all you want to do is ease into the holiday season. I get it… those cookies are not going to eat themselves!
However, if you have a plan and a strategy to promote your business during the holidays, you can really serve more people and make a greater impact.
Here is a short list of ideas to get you started:
Holiday Photo Sessions — All of the mom groups that I’m a part of on Facebook are looking for last-minute family sessions as we are getting closer to Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. Christmas Cards — Christmas cards can be an add on to your holiday sessions, or, if you are a wedding photographer, you can offer them to all of your couples as a Black Friday special.
Wedding Albums — Did your wedding clients not order a wedding album with their collection? This is your chance to reach back out to them about getting a wedding album for themselves, or as a gift for their parents. You could email each of them directly, post about your promotion on social media, or post in your Facebook group for clients, if you have one.
Here’s a quick example that you can use:
“Is shopping for holiday gifts for your loved ones proving to be harder than you thought? Take gifting off your to-do list and onto ours! Enjoy seeing your parents’ reaction as they open the most thoughtful gift of all: their very own leather album from your special day!
If you’re thinking about making a thoughtful gift to your families this year, our parent albums are 20% off between now and Monday, December 2nd. Do you have any questions? Make sure to reach out via email :)”
Here are a few other types of promotions you could create for wedding albums:
- Buy one parent album, get one free.
- Buy one wedding album and get a free bonus (10 free prints, 5 extra spreads, etc.)
- Buy a wedding album and get a free cover upgrade (from linen cover to leather cover).
