LU graduation pictures have been keeping me busy lately, and Lexi’s session at Liberty University was such a special one. The second I saw her dog wearing a little “Class of 2026” bandana, I knew this session was going to be fun. And somehow, it got even cuter when we put Lexi’s graduation cap on her for a few photos. Honestly, I don’t think anyone walking by could handle the cuteness.
But beyond all the adorable pup moments, this session meant so much because of everything Lexi had overcome to get here. About a year ago, Lexi was involved in a serious accident that led to hip surgery and a long recovery. She ended up having to finish school online while healing, which completely changed what her senior year looked like. Even through all of that, she still graduated with honors. Seriously so inspiring!
You would never know how hard the last season had been for her because she showed up to the session smiling and genuinely so excited to celebrate this accomplishment. That’s one of the reasons why I love taking LU graduation pictures so much. Every student has a different story, and sometimes you don’t realize how much someone had to push through to get to this moment.
Lexi’s mom came to the session too to help watch her pup, and I loved getting to see how proud she was of Lexi the entire time. Graduation is such a huge milestone not just for the student, but for the family members who supported them along the way too.
Lexi, I’m so proud of you for everything you accomplished this year! Graduating with honors after such a difficult season says so much about your strength and determination. Thank you for trusting me to capture these memories for you! And please give your sweet pup an extra treat from me for being the cutest graduation assistant ever.
