If you haven’t heard about Night in Boxes yet, they are an amazing company that offers subscription boxes for your nights in. Every month, they mail you a date box for you to enjoy from the comfort of your home. Each box includes fun, interactive activities and a tasty treat. Can’t beat that!
As busy parents, Night in Boxes was the perfect way for us to enjoy a date night together, while not having to worry about lining up baby sitters for the kids. We opened our box one night after we put the kids to bed and it was perfect.
This month, we received the “Painted with Love” date box. Did you know that the date themes change each month? I can’t wait to see what next month is all about!
Here’s what our box included:
- anjou pear & lemongrass candle
- two 8×10 canvases
- brush set
- paper plate
- cloth napkin
- liquid glue
- two delicious rock candies
When we opened the box, there was an instruction manual that came in handy. It included an optional dinner menu, as well as other fun things. They even gave us a list of ingredients and directions. We decided to skip dinner this time, but you bet we’ll be going back and trying that recipe soon. It looked absolutely delicious!
Moreover, they also included a custom playlist for us to enjoy on our date, and a super fun quiz called “Colors of Love”. We also had two options for our painting date night. The first option was a guided canvas painting, while the second option involved creating a glue resist painting. We chose option #1!
This option required us to work together, as our two canvases became one in the end. After we logged into our painting class, we followed instructions from our instructor which made everything seem so easy. We had a blast!
