This beautiful outdoor summer wedding at Glencliff Manor was extra special. If you’re following me on social media, you’ve probably seen me talking about this a couple of times. I say that Andrew and Micah’s wedding was extra special because Andrew was born in Romania. Many of you know that this is the same country I grew up in. I don’t get to meet a lot of Romanians here in Virginia, so this wedding was definitely a treat.
From the moment I shot their engagement session, I knew that Andrew and Micah were a special couple. They are the kind of couple you want to work with over and over again. Their outdoor summer wedding at Glencliff Manor was perfect. One of my favorite things was that all the guests came together and sang Revelation Song. It was truly a beautiful experience!
Their story begins at Liberty Christian Academy where Andrew and Micah were classmates. During Anatomy and Physiology senior year, they found out that they were both being recruited for athletics at UVA. Wrestling for Andrew, and track for Micah.
It was there that they quickly became best friends. When Micah moved into her dorm with a stress fracture, Andrew was the one helping her get around Grounds. They ate almost every meal together at the dining hall, went on long walks exploring Charlottesville, and had countless discussions about theology. Micah admits that she was blown away by Andrew’s study of Scripture and his devotion to his walk with Jesus.
In October of their first year, Andrew asked her to be his girlfriend. Micah says that doing life together throughout college brought her much joy. They shared great memories at UVA, from running into each other during practices, late nights studying in the library, wrestling matches, and track meets.
The summer after they finished their undergraduate degrees, Andrew proposed while they were kayaking on the Fourth of July. Their engagement year was a new and exciting adventure. Fast forward to now, Andrew completed his wrestling career and his Master’s Degree, and Micah began her first year of medical school.
