Grab the step-by-step workflow I use in Honeybook for each of my wedding clients to make sure I don’t miss anything.
2014 has been an amazing year here at Alina Thomas Photography. So many good things have happened this year that l wouldn’t be able to write about them all, no matter how badly I’d like to. One thing that I consider important in the photography industry, is

Back Button Focus for Photographers: Many photographers struggle with accurate focus, resulting in images not being consistently sharp. This is why a great deal of images are being deleted during the culling process. If this is happening to you, I am about to give you some hard-earned advice that will help you achieve accurate […]

“It is not happy people who are thankful, it is thankful people who are happy.” -Anonymous The Thanksgiving week is coming to an end. It’s been a great and relaxing week, here at the Thomas house. It was finally time for the workshop at Sierra Vista! As I pulled in, I made sure that I didn’t embarrass myself with my parking job (If you know me, you know I CANNOT possibly do ONE good parking job). I saw a smiling face, and said Hello! Gay responded and asked what camera I […]

Chelsey and Phillip decided to have their engagement pictures taken at their wedding venue: the exquisite West Manor Estate, located in Forest, Virginia. This was a great choice because having some pictures taken at your venue before the wedding allows both the couple and photographer a chance to find the best spots for pictures! This […]

This week felt like Christmas to me. Not only did we put up our Christmas tree (I know, I know it’s not even December yet) but I also got a bunch of photography related goodies in the mail. Two days in a row! My favorite, I have to admit, was the new camera bag I’ve […]

I started my business after getting my first DSLR camera as a wedding gift — I knew next to nothing about photography, but I loved it.
In the beginning, I was afraid to tell anyone that I was starting a photography business. I thought they wouldn’t take me seriously, and might even make fun of me.
The thing is: now I talk to photographers all the time who are dealing with the same insecurities I had when I was just starting out — Turns out, ain’t nobody got time to be afraid of their dreams!
That’s why I teach the same systems and formulas that made me into the confident photographer I am today to photographers just like you.
