These Riverside Park engagement photos are such a treat! I always enjoy shooting here, so when Brittany chose Riverside Park for her engagement session, I was so excited. The beautiful overlook tucked away at the back of the park is my favorite spot. You’d never guess this gem is even there.
Brittany and Tanner drove all the way from Herndon, Virginia for their engagement photos, and I’m so glad they did. We had the most beautiful summer weather for their pictures! They even brought along their sweet dog, Winston, who is one of the most well behaved dogs I’ve ever photographed.
They met at Virginia Tech when they had some freshman engineering classes together, but they didn’t start dating until junior year when they ended up in the same physics class together. Tanner proposed by a lake where they often walk Winston. How sweet is it that their sweet dog was also a part of the proposal?!
When I asked Brittany about her vision for the wedding, she said: “I am most excited about seeing all of our friends and family gathered to celebrate our big day! As far as vision goes, I am picturing a nice spring day with lots of flowers and lots of laughter. The rest I’m still figuring out!”
I literally cannot wait for their wedding day! Brittany and Tanner are getting married at one of my favorite wedding venues around, Spring Grove in Appomattox, Virginia. I photographed a wedding there last year, and the views are absolutely incredible. Brittany and Tanner, you couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot to tie the knot!
Now, back to their Riverside Park engagement photos, the entire session was so much fun! Brittany and Tanner were so relaxed and natural together, which made my job easy. I’m so happy with how these images turned out, and I know their wedding is going to be just as amazing!
