When Diem emailed me about taking her and Skyler’s tulip field photos, I literally squealed with excitement. I’ve been dreaming about visiting a tulip farm for a long time. However, I had no idea that there was one so close to where we lived. Burnside Farms is about forty minutes away from our house in Leesburg, Virginia. And you can bet I’ll be back there again for more photos next year!
When I arrived at Burnside Farms, I was amazed at how big the tulip farm was. It’s absolutely incredible!! The tulips come in so many beautiful colors, and just being surrounded by them is such an amazing experience. My first thought when I got there was this: I have to come back and bring my little family with me! They would absolutely love it here!
Skyler and Diem celebrated their one year anniversary and reached out to me about doing an anniversary session. We planned all the details together, and met a few days later for their tulip field photos at Burnside Farms. While the forecast called for rain, we had a clear a sky for the entire time we were there. It literally started to sprinkle as we were heading back to our cars. That’s a win in my book!
It may have been a little windy at the beginning of our tulip field session, but the beautiful sunset light at the end made it all worth it. Just wait until you see these anniversary photos! I can’t get enough of this beautiful tulip field! It’s simply breathtaking!!

How amazing are these tulip field photos? The sun peaked out from behind the clouds and gave us that beautiful golden light towards the end of the session! I couldn’t be more thankful!
