Corey and Elizabeth’s Winchester engagement photos are on the blog!! Elizabeth and I have been planning this session for months and months, and I’m so happy we were finally able to make it happen. This sweet couple travelled all the way from California for their session. I couldn’t be more excited for their wedding next month! They are planning a beautiful celebration with their closest family and friends at the gorgeous George Washington Hotel in Winchester, VA.
Because I like to get to know my couples’ love story before I photograph them, I always send them a Getting to Know You Questionnaire right after they book their wedding date with me. Photographers, if you don’t do this, you’re seriously missing out!! Here are some of Corey and Elizabeth’s answers.
How did you guys meet?
We were both living in eastern North Carolina working at Camp Lejeune, a Marine Corps base. I was working as a nurse in the U.S. Navy and Corey was working as a civilian contractor as an Exercise Physiologist in a research lab. We worked out at the same gym!
When did you know that he was the one and vice versa?
Bride: Coming out stronger on the other end of a year and a half of cross-country distance!
Groom: I knew Elizabeth was the one when we committed to doing cross-country distance shortly before I left for California.
What is the one thing that you love the most about each other?
Bride: I have 2! His sense of humor and his ability to make me laugh! Seeing him interact with my family. He’s a perfect fit!
Groom: Elizabeth is the most selfless person I have ever met. She is always thinking of others before herself.
Tell me a little bit about your vision for the wedding. What are you most excited about?
The wedding will be simple with neutral tones and bright accents throughout. A relaxed feel, classy, simple. Our immediate families will be meeting for the first time for Thanksgiving this year. I am most excited for our families to be together!

I received a recommendation for you from a friend I have known for 25 years! My friend, Elizabeth, and I have very similar tastes and I love the pictures you did for her!
