I am so excited to share our wedding in Europe with you all! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that we had not one, not two, but THREE weddings.
That’s right! Tim and I met on a missions trip in Romania, where I grew up. We started dating, and in between his visits to Romania and my visit to the States, there were a lot late night/early morning Skype conversations. Also, let’s not forget View full post »
Some Northern Virginia family photos are due for this little family of mine. Until then, I wanted to share these adorable pictures my friend Sherry Conrad took of my sweet family. Ever since Sherry took miss Emma’s newborn pictures, I was hooked.
I am the kind of person that generally prefers outdoor sessions, but now we do at least one studio session for our family every year. If I know that we will all be in Lynchburg for more than a day, I make sure to text Sherry and see if she happens to be available. Thankfully, everything worked out this time and she was able to squeeze us in last minute. Thank you, friend! View full post »
Some days I dream about being a Cancun wedding photographer! I wouldn’t mind going back to Mexico to photograph a wedding…or two :)
We had been planning to go on a family vacation for a while. When you have two little ones, you know the chances of making that happen are very slim. Ha! However, this year we really went all out. We booked a 7 day vacation in Cancun, Mexico. And it was amazing!! So much so, that while we were still there, we started making plans for coming back next year.
My wedding season is finally slowing down just enough for me to edit our family vacation photos and I am so excited to finally have them up on the blog! View full post »
Emma’s floral birthday party last weekend was amazing! We loved celebrating this cutie who turns ONE today. Seriously, how did that even happen?! It feels like just yesterday I was on the way to the hospital to welcome this sweet baby girl into the world. Her birth story was pretty incredible. She arrived about an hour and a half after we got to the hospital. Talk about fast!
She is full of energy and brings so much joy to our lives. We literally could not imagine our lives without her! We love you so much, sweet baby girl! View full post »
Kenneth’s Chuck E. Cheese birthday party was so much fun! We usually pick a birthday theme each year and have the whole family over to celebrate. With us moving to Northern Virginia at the beginning of March though, we didn’t have a lot of time to plan a party in Lynchburg this year. Since Kenneth has been asking us to go to Chuck E. Cheese’s a lot recently, we thought that a birthday party at the best place on earth would be a great idea. And it sure was! Kenneth had SO much fun!! View full post »
Today you turn three! Three!! You are no longer a baby, you are a little man now. Where has time gone? It feels like yesterday we brought you home from the hospital and started our journey to parenting. I still can’t believe they trusted US to leave the hospital with you. I remember that feeling quite vividly. The feeling that we were now responsible for a little baby boy’s well being. We were responsible to nurture you and keep you safe. Oh, how we cherish those moments as brand new parents! Being your parents has been one of the most rewarding things we have been blessed with. View full post »
We are selling our cute little house pictured on the right, and moving to Northern Virginia!!
It’s crazy! We are days away from packing up our lives and moving across the state. It still hasn’t hit me that by the end of the week we’ll be living in a whole different city, a few hours away from Lynchburg. While we are excited about the move, this is a huge step for our family!
It hasn’t been an easy decision to make, but we feel that this is where we are supposed to go next. Tim has accepted a job as a youth pastor at Heritage Baptist Church in Ashburn, VA. We cannot wait to meet the teens there and get to know them better and serve them! 2017 is going to be a fun year! View full post »
A letter from my husband:
If I could sum up what being married to a photographer is like in one word, it would have to be blessed. I am not going to lie, there are a lot of words that come to mind, but this one is true to the heart. I am blessed to be married to my awesome wife, who has taken her incredible, creative gifts and used them for the benefit of others. She literally gets joy out of capturing other people’s most-precious moments and that speaks volumes about the kind of lady she is and the character that she possesses.
To be straight-forward, I never really thought much about the work photographers do when I saw them at events throughout my life. Not that I had anything against them, I just simply never stopped to think about how much effort really goes into their work. It was not until my wife started doing photography at a professional level that I saw View full post »
2016 has been a great year for us as we have had an amazing wedding season and got to work with even more amazing couples. Thank you, thank you for sharing your wedding day with me and allowing me to document your special day on my camera. It’s been truly a privilege!!
It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by! Here we are, at the end of December, the last month of the year. I am in awe as I am typing this post because this year has truly flown by in the blink of an eye.
At the end of every year, I like to really take the time to look at what has worked and what hasn’t worked for my business in the past year. I also like to set goals for the new year, just to keep me accountable and have a constant reminder of what I am trying to accomplish in the new year. View full post »
Happy Christmas Day, friends!
This year we are celebrating Christmas as a family of FOUR! How crazy is that?! Last Christmas we were announcing that we were pregnant with sweet baby Emma and now she is here. She was born in August and is now 4 months old. She is such a blessing and brings so much joy to our family this Christmas!
What does a typical Christmas Day at the Thomas House consist of?
We usually do our Christmas in the morning. Timmy reads the Christmas story, and then we open our gifts. Typically, after having our Christmas time at home, we head over to the grandparents house, either late morning or early afternoon, and spend the rest of the day with Timmy’s parents, siblings, and their families. It is always such a fun time! View full post »
