Alex and Elizabeth’s Capitol Hill Club wedding in Washington DC is on the blog!! If you remember their Carter Mountain engagement photos from a few weeks ago, you know that I was so excited to see Elizabeth’s wedding dress as it was a family heirloom. I have to say, Tang’s Bridal and Alterations did a fantastic job transforming this beautiful wedding dress to fit Elizabeth like a glove. She looked absolutely stunning in it!
We started our day at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington DC where the two got ready before heading to St. James Catholic Church for the ceremony. Witnessing the support of their family and friends who came together to celebrate the beginning of a new marriage was a beautiful reminder of why I chose to become a wedding photographer. Their whole wedding was truly a reflection of how kind and genuine they really are as a couple!
After the ceremony was over, we took a few photos at the St. James Catholic Church, then headed to DC for more bride & groom portraits! We had the best weather we could have asked for with the most beautiful light for pictures! A warm October wedding?! Yes, please! And this one definitely did not disappoint.
One of my favorite things about this gorgeous Capitol Hill Club Wedding in Washington DC is the fact that Elizabeth wore her mom’s wedding dress. How special is that?! Also, they had a small bridal party (only a maid of honor and best man) which gave us a lot more time for couple portraits. Absolutely love that! And last but not least, I love the fact that it felt like an intimate family centered celebration. The entire day was family focused.
Alex and Elizabeth, thank you for having me capture your Capitol Hill Club wedding in Washington DC! It was truly a dream!
