Ryan and Andrea’s fall wedding at Glencliff Manor in Rustburg, Virginia was such a fun celebration! It started raining just as I was leaving my house, but by the time I got to the venue, the rain was already gone. Talk about starting the day off right! We were able to take all of the pictures outside, which if you’ve ever visited Glencliff Manor, you know how gorgeous the views are. I can’t wait for you to see these photos!
But first, let me introduce you to this amazing couple! Ryan and Andrea are SO MUCH FUN! From their Monument Terrace engagement session when Ryan rocked a mustache for half of the session and a clean shave for the rest of it, to their well thought out wedding day, they truly are one of my favorite couples to have worked with.
Their Proposal Story
Ryan is bad at keeping secrets (especially from Andrea), so when he started planning the proposal, she knew it was coming. They were planning a weekend ski trip to Snowshoe with a couple of their friends, and Andrea had a feeling that something special was going to happen while they were there. In order to surprise her, Ryan decided to propose at their house before they left for the trip.
Andrea got home from work ready to pack and leave, but there was an envelope addressed to her taped on the gate. It was super windy and Andrea had no clue what was going on, so she just grabbed the envelope and walked inside. When she opened the door, Ryan was in the middle of the living room on his knee. Her first reaction was to ask, “What are you doing?!”. After being told to go back outside and read the letter first, she came back inside and Ryan asked her to spend forever together with him. Of course, she said YES! When they got to Snowshoe, Ryan surprised Andrea by renting a huge house and inviting several of their closest friends to celebrate with them!
Ahh! Isn’t that just one of the best proposal stories you’ve ever heard?! In true Ryan and Andrea fashion, their fall wedding at Glencliff Manor was just as amazing!
