This beautiful Glencliff Manor wedding is going to warm your heart! I’ve known Ashton for several years, and I’ve never seen her happier than she is now with Joe in her life. Before you take a peek at their pictures below, here’s a little bit about their story!
How they met
“In October 2016, I went on The Journey to record my testimony. In it, I talked about how I was letting my heart beat again, and I was trusting God with my story. I mentioned that the Danny Gokey song, Tell Your Heart to Beat Again had touched me because it resonated so much with me since I was about to get baptized in a few days. I went on the radio September 29, was baptized October 2, and we met on October 6. I’ve always told him he was literally sent by God.”
The Proposal
“We went to Myrtle Beach on a family vacation in June 2018. Weeks beforehand, Joe had told me he wanted us to take nice photos somewhere. So, he had me pick out a nice dress and he made sure he had coordinated his outfit. He said we would be bringing two cameras. In case one came out blurry, the other one would turn out good.
He surprised me by taking me to Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, SC. This is where The Notebook was filmed, as well as my all time favorite movie, North and South. We started taking photos, and he suddenly dropped to one knee asking me to marry him. I was so excited, I was crying, screaming, and swallowed my gum! When we walked over to his family, it turned out he had one camera for photos and one for video, because he knew how much the video would mean to me.”
Isn’t this one of the most beautiful proposals you’ve ever heard of? Joe did such a fantastic job! It also meant a lot to them to have a Glencliff Manor wedding. Ashton’s mom is the venue owner, so it was extra special!
Ashton and Joe, thank you so much for having me photograph your Glencliff Manor wedding! You had the most beautiful day and I’m honored to have been a part of it!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I have shed tears, I’ve laughed, I’ve smiled. You did a phenomenal job and you were worth every single penny. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else do those photos. We have the most amazing pictures to remember our day. You were everywhere but also nowhere!! You somehow captured moments I either already forgot about or didn’t know about so it’s so fun to see those! You’re amazing and any couple is blessed to have you as their photographer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and for being such a good friend. ❤️” -Ashton
