Kelly and Perry’s coral reef and malibu blue wedding was simply amazing, to say the least! I mean, they had me at coral reef and malibu blue. I just love it when brides decide to do something fun and add a pop of color to their big day!
On the morning of the wedding, Kelly and I ran into each other at breakfast. Without knowing it, we had spent the night at the same hotel. If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember that I posted about being evacuated from our hotel room about a week ago. It all happened the night before Kelly and Perry’s wedding! Around 1:20 a.m. that morning the fire alarm at the hotel went off. Everybody gathered in front of the hotel until we were allowed to go back to our rooms. Thankfully, it was a false alarm. There was no fire and no one was harmed.
As I was photographing the getting ready part of the day, Kelly told me that she had taken her wedding dress and shoes outside when we were evacuated. Truth be told, I had Tim go back inside to save all my camera gear. You can only imagine what that felt like! Haha. It’s definitely a story to remember!
The wedding day went as smoothly as possible! It’s no secret that Teresa and the Glencliff Manor staff outdo themselves with every wedding they host. From the beautiful flower bouquets, to the colorful bridesmaids dresses, every little detail was perfect.
One of my favorite things was that the wedded couple picked each other’s wedding band and kept it a secret until the wedding day. The beautiful sand ceremony was another highlight of the day. My favorite part? The two moms got to be a part of it.
Perry and Kelly, thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate with you! Your coral reef and malibu blue wedding was a dream to photograph!
