Couple graduation photos are so special! Graduating with your husband feels like the kind of full circle moment you’ll tell your kids about one day. And I’m so excited I got to capture this milestone for Mary and Riley.
We met in front of DeMoss Hall at Liberty University, one of those classic campus spots that photographs just right. I absolutely love shooting in front of this building. It’s truly a photographer’s dream! This time of year is so busy though, so if you can plan your session before May, do it. Don’t wait! While I was waiting for Mary and Riley to arrive, I counted 11 other students having their photos taken at the exact same time. That’s insane!
Mary is graduating from the School of Music, and you can tell she’s poured so much of herself into her time here. The two of them are moving back home to Kentucky after graduation. Secretly, I was hoping they would stay local to Lynchburg so that I could invite them to Anchor Church. We’re still looking for a worship leader, so if you know of anyone, send them our way!
This was my first time taking couple graduation photos, and I have to say, I really enjoyed them. As a wedding photographer who hasn’t shot graduation photos until last year, posing them as a couple felt natural.
Graduating together is such a unique experience. It marks the end of a chapter, but also the beginning of what comes next… together. These couple graduation photos also carry a sense of anticipation because you realize things are about to change. New routines, new goals, new places… but the same person by your side. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Riley and Mary, it was such an honor to capture this season for you both! I hope these images always take you back to this moment.

These couple graduation photos are such a beautiful reminder that some milestones are even sweeter when they are shared.
