I love taking Monument Terrace engagement pictures! It has quickly become one of my favorite spots for sessions because of the light colored walls and floors. I’ve shot here in almost every season of the year and it never disappoints. Luke and Claire’s engagement session was no exception. This sweet couple is getting married in August and I couldn’t be more excited to photograph their wedding!
Luke and Claire met at Liberty University a year ago. Their roommates were dating and they met through them outside of their dorm one night. Luke proposed to Claire in his hometown, Philadelphia. He took Claire to Longwood Gardens, which is a gorgeous botanical garden that consists of over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows. The garden was filled with beautiful Christmas lights everywhere! Luke got down on one knee and asked Claire to marry him in a tunnel decorated with magical lights. What made everything even better was that his family was there to witness their sweet engagement!
They seriously have the best smiles, don’t you think?!
Taking Luke and Claire’s Monument Terrace engagement pictures was such a dream! Their joy is simply contagious!
Ahh! The light in these images is SO dreamy! Who would have guessed that this beautiful location is hidden in downtown Lynchburg?!
As we made our way up the stairs at Monument Terrace, we saw this beautiful brick building. The light colored walls are literally every photographer’s dream! We knew that we had to stop there for pictures as the sun was starting to go down and the beautiful golden light peaked through. It was a beautiful evening for pictures!
Luke and Claire, thank you so much for allowing me to document this special time in your lives! You absolutely rocked your Monument Terrace engagement pictures! Can’t wait to see you both again in August!
