Welcome to Eddie and Kaley’s beautiful summer outdoor wedding! On Saturday, we photographed our first wedding of the season and it was amazing. While it was supposed to rain all day, the clouds held off, and instead, we had the best summer day we could have asked for.
Kaley and Eddie met 8 years ago and haven’t missed a day talking to each other since their first date. Here’s their proposal, told by Kaley!
“It was magical! He took me out to dinner in Occoquan where we had our third date. Occoquan is important to us, it’s where my family has lived since 1927. That night, we sat in the gazebo in the park by the water and he proposed, right before a rolling storm blew in. As soon as I said yes, the sky opened up and we ran through the rain to the car giggling.”
How amazing is that?!
Their beautiful summer outdoor wedding was also filled with so much love as their family and friends came together to celebrate their marriage. “I am most excited to finally get married to my best friend!” Kaley wrote in the wedding questionnaire I sent her. Some couples radiate so much happiness that it’s impossible not to completely fall in love with them! Kaley and Eddie are that kind of couple, and being a part of their wedding day made me realize just how much I love being a photographer. I find myself smiling from ear to ear every time I edit a new image because the joy of their wedding day is simply contagious.
Kaley and Eddie are so much fun to be around and it was truly an honor to capture their wedding day that took place on Eddie’s family property. It was truly a big family celebration! My hope is that when they look back at this image 50 years form now, Eddie and Kaley remember how happy they were in this moment surrounded by family and friends who love them.
